Job Summary
Perform inspections, repairs, and alterations of Bell 407 aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies. Verify part numbers and serial numbers during component installation or removal, and ensure all maintenance documentation complies with applicable manuals and airworthiness directives. Actively participate in the Safety Management System continuous improvement phase and advise the Pilot in Command of any maintenance issues affecting aircraft serviceability. Request aviation parts to maintain inventory for operational readiness and correct compliance or safety issues when directed by leadership. Provide timely on-call availability for nights, weekends, and holidays while maintaining 25–50% travel time for Part 135 operations. Must reside within one hour of the Texarkana, AR base.
Required Qualifications
- Factory airframe/power plant schools
- Active/current A&P license
- FAR 135 operations
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 to 5 years' related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Refined vibration-balancing
- Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
- Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337's, Service Bulletins, AD's, etc.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
- Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
- Ability to learn and utilize the Company's ERP system (Ramco)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to apply creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting work
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- RAMCO experience
- FAA A&P License in good standing
- Provide timely on call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 25 – 50%
- Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives
- Must live within an hour of the base
