Aviation Maintenance Helper

Job Summary
Support installation, maintenance, and repair workers with aircraft parts replacement, wiring adjustments, and machinery assembly. Furnish tools and supplies, clean work areas, and assist mechanics with vehicle and electrical equipment maintenance. Position vehicles and machinery for assembly, help with preheating, launch, recovery, and fluid servicing, and perform aircraft towing. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols and interpreting repair manuals. Must be a current student in an accredited Aviation Maintenance Program, hold a valid driver's license, and pass background checks. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions near moving aircraft.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S without visa sponsorship
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees
- Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals
- Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks
- Must have a valid Driver's License and meet all company insurance criteria
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be a current student enrolled in accredited Aviation Maintenance Program for Airframe & Powerplant Certification

- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance
- Requires the ability to understand and retain information provided verbally and written
