Job Summary
Repair aircraft seats, monuments, and interior components by disassembling parts, diagnosing malfunctions, and executing sheet metal, composite, and laminate repairs. Read blueprints, schematics, and inspection reports to plan operations, then reassemble components using bonding materials, fillers, and compounds to meet FAA standards. Perform plumbing, painting, surface preparation, and electrical wiring repairs while lubricating moving parts. Work in a shop environment, standing and walking 80% of the day, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Domestic and international travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL DOMESTICALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience using power tools
- Experience using finishing tools
- Ability to disassemble components and make repairs
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical hand and air tool usage
- Ability to follow strict instructions, CMMs, and work in a time-sensitive environment to meet deadlines
- Ability to inspect components for defects or damage
- Metal fabrication & repair
- Knowledge of plastic trim and vacuum formed plastic assembly
- Experience with bonding materials
- Experience with spray adhesives
- Sheet metal fabrication to drawings
- Metal fabrication & repair
- Lubricates moving parts to verify conformance to specifications
- Detect defects or damage
- Repair electrical wiring / components
Desired Qualifications
- A&P License a plus
- Prior Aerospace/FAA experience a plus
- Prior Aircraft Interior experience a plus
