Job Summary
Conduct engineering inspection and documentation of construction work to monitor project compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations. Coordinate quality control inspections, observe on-site material testing, and perform mathematical calculations for material quantity payments. Review contractor daily reports, as-built mark-ups, and shop drawings to identify discrepancies, while preparing progress reports using video and photo. Consult with the Resident Engineer on construction problems, recommend solutions, and act as a liaison with the engineer of record. Assist in processing RFIs, submittals, and pay estimates, and utilize digital tools like GPS/Rovers to increase inspection efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Trained in digital construction management software such as Constructware, Asite or similar
