Job Summary
Design runway and taxiway lighting systems, NAVAIDs, and aviation infrastructure while producing drawings, calculations, specifications, engineering reports, and construction cost estimates. Lead designs of varying complexity, attend client meetings and site visits, and perform construction administration under the guidance of senior staff. Assist junior engineering staff in training and help win new projects through client relationship building. This role supports power, lighting, and control system design for airports and transportation facilities, with opportunities for cross-functional work on photovoltaic developments and electric vehicle infrastructure. Candidates must hold a PE license or pursue it within six months and possess five years of consulting engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or pursue within 6 months
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting engineering, preferably aviation
- Experience designing building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and security
- Be proficient with software packages: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with software packages: AGI32, SKM
- Experience with FAA standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able and willing to travel
