Job Summary
Aviation Certification Engineer for Starlink, SpaceX, responsible for driving FAA certification deliverables and the certification process across hardware design cycles. Own certification milestones, ensure regulatory compliance, produce documentation deliverables (certification plans, test plans, analyses, conformity inspection plans, flight manual supplements), and coordinate with design/manufacturing teams. Role requires collaboration with FAA processes, DO-160 environmental/testing, and ownership of aerospace certification from application to FAA acceptance. Proficiency in creating large documentation in Microsoft Word, generating schematics/diagrams, and communicating design intent. Additional requirements include ability to work extended hours/weekends and ITAR compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design, testing, or manufacturing (internship or extracurricular experience is applicable)
