Job Summary
Provide and document skilled nursing care in patients' homes in accordance with the care plan and physician orders. Responsibilities include continuously observing and assessing patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor/physician, documenting nursing actions and care coordination, developing and updating the nursing care plan, taking appropriate actions to meet outcomes, ensuring infection control per OSHA standards, educating patients and families about the disease process and self-care, and maintaining competency through continued education. This part-time role offers weekend days with flexible scheduling and requires nursing licensure, CPR, and ability to travel to patient homes in Round Rock, North Austin and Pflugerville, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
- Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
- Current CPR certification
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Home health experience preferred
