Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights/Weekends for Aveanna Healthcare's private duty homecare. Responsibilities include delivering and coordinating skilled nursing care per the care plan and physician orders, observing and assessing patient condition, documenting actions and outcomes, developing/updating the nursing care plan, taking appropriate actions to meet patient needs, ensuring infection control per OSHA standards, and educating patients and families on disease processes, self-care, and prevention. Requires an active RN license in the practice state, CPR certification, TB test, and may include state-specific requirements and discipline-specific experience. Flexible scheduling available (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Travel may be required. Additional skills: attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, organization, and strong communication. Environment may involve exposure to infectious diseases; compliance with healthcare regulations and nursing practice act is required. Location-specific notes reference South Austin, Kyle, and Buda in Texas with in-person home healthcare delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
- Current CPR certification (hands-on component)
- TB skin test (within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- Continuing Education as required by state
- State-specific requirements: South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatrics experience; California – One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license; Louisiana – One (1) year of experience required working as a licensed nurse
- Discipline-specific requirements: Medical Oncology RN - 2 years RN experience with cardiac monitoring and oncology experience; Ambulatory RN - 2 years; Medical Surgical RN - 2 years; Peri-Operative Care RN - 2 years
