Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights for Aveanna Private Duty Nursing delivers skilled in-home care per individualized care plans. The role requires delivering and documenting nursing care, continuously observing patient condition, coordinating with physicians and supervisors, updating care plans, and taking appropriate actions to meet expected outcomes. Responsibilities include complying with confidentiality and nursing policies, infection control per OSHA standards, educating patients and families on disease processes and self-care, and maintaining clinical competency through ongoing education. The position supports flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with opportunities for skill advancement, and involves home health settings across specified North Austin, Round Rock, and Pflugerville areas. The candidate should possess strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving, time management, and communication skills, and be able to travel between patient homes as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- TB skin test current within last 12 months
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate Nursing program
- Ability to travel as required
