Job Summary
RN - Private Duty Nurse in a homecare setting providing and documenting skilled nursing care per individual care plans and physician orders. Responsibilities include coordinating care, observing and reporting patient condition, updating nursing care plans, ensuring infection control and OSHA standards, educating patients and families, and maintaining accurate documentation. Requires active RN license, CPR, ability to travel, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; 24/7 local support and opportunities for flexible scheduling (days, nights, weekends) with full-time commitment. Strong clinical assessments, time management, organization, and communication skills are essential; experience in pediatrics or oncology and additional state-specific requirements may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- TB skin test current within last 12 months
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
