Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for Aveanna Private Duty Home Health. Flexible scheduling with nights, days, weekends; roles include delivering and coordinating skilled nursing care under RN supervision in patients' homes. Responsibilities include documenting nursing actions, updating care plans, assessing patient conditions, reporting changes, infection control, educating patients and families, and adhering to policies and regulations. Requires active nursing license, CPR, TB test, ability to travel to patient homes, and strong communication skills. Prior pediatric/home health experience preferred; ongoing education and state-specific requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice (LPN/LVN)
- Current CPR certification
- TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
- Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days (where applicable)
- State-specific requirements (e.g., South Carolina – pediatrics experience; California – experience required; Louisiana – experience required)
- Continuing Education as required by state
