Job Summary
Monitor incoming prescription renewal requests and respond promptly to ensure patients access their medications. Collaborate with pharmacists and providers to handle complex authorization requests and manage scheduled appointments. Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and Pharmacy systems while interpreting prescription orders and calculating quantities. Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders regarding patient needs and medication status.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- 5+ years of pharmacy technician experience
- Strong written communication skills
- Fluent verbal communication
- Solid grasp on the medication prescribing process
- Master tasker with skills in interpreting prescription orders and calculating quantities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Electronic Medical Records systems
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with a Spanish flair
