AV Technician

Job Summary
Perform on-site audio-visual installations including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers and control systems; read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints; perform cable pulls, soldering, crimping and terminating audio, video and network cables; conduct comprehensive installations and troubleshoot AV issues; coordinate with Scheduler/Installation Manager; willingness to travel overnight; mentor junior installers; ensure safety and compliance; work overtime as needed to meet client commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of audiovisual integration experience
- Post-secondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred
- Crestron/Extron/AMX programming/configuration experience preferred
- Avixa CTS or CTS-I Certification
- Industry recognized training: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante
- Safety: Bondable, clean driving record
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts
- Trade certifications: WHMIS, fall arrest, scissor lift and other safety Certifications
