Job Summary
AV Technician role in Visakhapatnam, India, serving as the technical backbone for events and presentations. Responsibilities include installing, setting up, and configuring professional AV equipment (projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting rigs, video monitors, cameras, video conferencing). Ensure equipment is clean, maintained, and fully functional; operate live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting during events; perform routine maintenance and diagnose/troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime; coordinate repairs with external service providers; provide responsive technical support to event organizers, performers, and end-users; assist with setup, operation, and breakdown during live events; collaborate with event coordinators, IT teams, performers, and stakeholders to meet technical requirements; manage AV inventory and maintain documentation of configurations and maintenance schedules; coordinate with performers for sound checks and rider management; work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Requirements include 2–3 years of proven AV technician experience in luxury hospitality, events, or live production; hands-on experience with live sound mixing, video switching, lighting control, and event setup; proficiency with AV equipment (PA systems, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, LED screens, microphones, lighting consoles, video displays); strong communication skills in English; Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or related field is highly advantageous; relevant certifications preferred.
