Job Summary
Install and integrate high-end residential AV, lighting control, motorized shading, automation, and network systems with precision on luxury projects. Serve as on-site point person for diagnosing and resolving issues, build and pre-wire equipment racks, and prepare systems for programming and commissioning. Lead and coordinate other technicians and subcontractors, communicate scope and changes to the Project Manager, and train clients on their systems while maintaining a professional presence with homeowners, architects, designers, and contractors. Maintain detailed documentation, keep sites organized and safe, and travel locally up to 3.5 hours with occasional overnight stays. Requires ability to work independently, take ownership from day one, and adapt to new tools and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of residential experience installing and integrating high-end AV equipment, including active troubleshooting and commissioning required
- Travel to off-site locations (90% local with up to 3.5 hours away and occasional overnight stay)
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle
- Savant and Lutron Software experience required
- ELK security systems experience a plus
