Job Summary
AV Service Technician role providing on-site service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for audio-visual systems in high-end residential and corporate environments. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing AV components (audio, video, control, surveillance, networking), performing routine service calls and upgrades, communicating with clients clearly, documenting service activities, and collaborating with installation/engineering teams. Opportunities for ongoing learning and professional growth; must be comfortable interacting with high-end clients, able to travel to job sites, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Ability to lift and handle AV equipment as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable interacting directly with high-end clients and maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- Experience servicing AV systems in residential and/or corporate environments
- Basic understanding of AV systems or related technical field
- Industry certifications are a plus
- Experience with control systems (e.g., Crestron, Control4, AMX) (preferred)
- Documentation of service activities, issues, and resolutions accurately
- Collaborate with installation and engineering teams when needed
