AV/QC Engineer

Job Summary
Evaluate and report on project elements including recording quality, dubbed lines, episode treatments, audio issues, mix quality, and M&E reports. Complete QC report forms per Iyuno México standards, identifying areas requiring review by recording, editing, or mixing engineers. Provide detailed QC reports to Production and Post-Production departments while maintaining regular communication to inform them of project status and progress. Ensure adherence to timelines, adjust schedules for critical deadlines, and maintain compliance with company security policies. Stay current with all Iyuno workflows and training materials. Perform related duties as assigned, which may include recording, editing, and mixing responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of ADR recording, editing, quality control (QC), and mixing
- Proficiency with audio mixing equipment, including audio consoles, controllers, peripheral devices, and advanced knowledge of Pro Tools
- Strong technical understanding of digital audio concepts, including sample rates, bit depth, audio speed, digital audio synchronization, timecode, video synchronization, and video codecs
- Excellent hearing and the ability to make accurate and consistent judgment decisions
- Strong organizational skills for managing large volumes of data and media on local systems and network environments
- A process-driven approach with exceptional attention to detail
- Solid understanding of post-production and dubbing workflows and requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure
- Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to learn new processes and technologies
- Willingness to work flexible hours when business needs require it
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sound engineering, including recording, editing, and/or mixing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Good working knowledge of audio production workflows, formats, and methodologies
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Audio Post-Production, Sound Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Understanding of dubbing, localization, and post-production processes is preferred
