Job Summary

The AV & LED Installation Technician is responsible for the permanent installation of LED video walls, displays, and AV systems in commercial spaces. Key tasks include installing and mounting AV hardware, running conduit and structured cabling (Cat6, fiber, audio, video, and control), terminating and testing cables, troubleshooting systems, configuring and integrating AV systems, ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local regulations, and documenting installation details for client handover. The role requires experience in commercial AV installation or electrical work and hands-on troubleshooting skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have experience in commercial AV installation, electrical, or low-voltage work
  • Solid understanding of structured cabling and signal flow
  • Hands on troubleshooting skills for AV and LED systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • State-recognized Low Voltage or Electrical License (or ability to work under a licensed contractor)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights

Desired Qualifications

  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
  • Industry certifications (AVIXA CTS, Crestron, Extron, or similar) are a plus
