Job Summary
Install technology components on client sites by interpreting design drawings to install displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, and equipment racks. Coordinate with project management and field superintendents, guide Associate Installation Technicians as needed, read functional design drawings and cable diagrams, perform fiber optic handling and testing, and maintain organized work and documentation. Travel is involved (frequent local travel with potential remote travel). Requires physical installation work, overtime as needed, and tool safety; maintain licenses/certifications as required. Also includes installation of cabling terminations, rack preparation, and reading of architectural and riser drawings; ensures entry/logs of time worked and maintains shop/jobsites organization.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years as an associate technician and/or fabrication technician or related industry experience.
- Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipment
- Knowledgeable of low voltage electrical concepts
- Possess basic carpentry and/or installation skills
- Proficient use and safety with power tools
- Good verbal communication skills and good customer service skills
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Must have a valid driver’s license and adhere to insurance requirements
- Education: High school or GED equal
