Job Summary
Operate a specialized data collection vehicle five to six days a week, executing eight-hour shifts that include up to 75% night driving to gather critical sensor data. Use Linux command lines to initialize, monitor, troubleshoot, and safely shut down onboard data logging equipment while parked. Participate in structured testing and validation of automated driving functions for candidates with prior autonomous vehicle operations experience. Required Qualifications
- Local proximity: Must reside in or near LA / Torrance, CA for daily shift reporting.
- Linux proficiency: Comfort navigating in terminal, executing command prompts, and troubleshooting basic data collection software stacks.
- An impeccable driving record for the past 3 to 5 years, with absolutely no history of DUI/DWI and proven reliability/safety records.
- Schedule flexibility: Eagerness and physical readiness to handle a high volume of 5–6 days a week, 8+ hour shifts (featuring up to 75% night driving / 25% day).
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience operating autonomous vehicles or working in a vehicle test environment (preferred, unlocks AV function testing responsibilities).
