Job Summary
Create world-class promos for Sky's AV projects by collaborating with journalists, editors, and stakeholders to craft engaging stories that solidify Sky News as a UK leader. Think through the line across multiple channels and formats, confidently pitching ideas to senior creatives while integrating current social and digital trends. Work hands-on with writing, editing, directing, and shooting high-quality trailers, adapting to last-minute changes and ever-changing timelines. Lead the area to success through proactive engagement of current affairs and creative thinking around upcoming events, building relationships across Sky to establish a trusted voice.
Required Qualifications
- A portfolio of your relevant work
- Demonstrable experience in a creative position within a promo team working across promos and social media deliverables
- A good understanding of the promo AV workflow, from brief to delivery
- The ability to self-shoot high-quality trails
- Confidently know your way around relevant kit
- The ability to work with / direct other broadcast crews
- A good understanding and knowledge of topical current affairs
- The ability to tell their stories in a politically impartial and conscientious way
- Ability to understand briefs in your respective area
- Skills to identify and solve complex problems across projects and workflows
- Be culturally sensitive to varied audiences and territories
- Aware of Ofcom regulations
- The ability to step in on projects where needed
- Work to ever changing timelines
- Engaged and enthusiastic team member
- Acting as a solid role model for the department
- A strong sense of diligence and proactivity
- The appropriate right to work in the UK
- Complete a criminal record check
