Job Summary
Pull and terminate cables, install and mount display equipment, and program proprietary AV systems while reading wire diagrams and reflected ceiling plans. Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment and manage inventory of repair parts, recording serial model numbers for tracking. Complete daily reports, project photos, and timecards, then partner with management to deliver customer service across healthcare, education, and government sites. Requires 100% travel to project locations with a high school diploma and two years of AV integration experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration technical environment
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers
- Ability to dress racks
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams
- Ability to identify and understand various source plates
- Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltage
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
- Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
- 100% travel to reach project locations
