Job Summary
Design and engineer complete audio, video, switching, and control systems for federal and commercial clients. Create AV system design drawings in AutoCAD/Visio, modify architectural plans, and develop equipment lists for estimating and budget summaries. Troubleshoot complex system problems, lead design coordination discussions, and provide technical support to project managers and installation teams. Review and approve technical documents including schematics and rack drawings for deployment handover. Maintain knowledge of current AV technologies and key control, audio, and video systems. Requires minimum 10 years of AV experience, CTS-D/CTS-I certifications, and a minimum SECRET clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years Audio Visual experience
- Minimum SECRET clearance required
- Degree level qualified in a technical discipline or 4+ years professional AV industry field experience in implementation or system support
- CTS-D, CTS-I Certifications
- Crestron Programmer Certification
- Excellent communication skills, and confidence when dealing with demanding clients, building contractors, architects and other technical members of the project team
- 10+ years experience of successfully supporting installation teams with technical assistance and problem solving for professional AV equipment and systems
- Experience with Control (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
- Experience with Audio (BIAMP, Shure, Crestron)
- Experience with Video (1Beyond, Cisco, Crestron)
- AVoIP Design and Deployment
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years Design experience working with the AV Industry
- TS/SCI preferred
