Job Summary
Auxiliary Health Clerk with Oakland County’s WIC Program, supporting direct client services, health screenings (height, weight, head circumference), and routine laboratory/screening tests across county clinics; handles scheduling, data entry, records management, referrals to community resources, and outreach; serves as a trusted first point of contact for families and assists in organizing health education materials and activities; requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education with related coursework and relevant para-professional health experience; role involves multi-site clinic support (Pontiac, Southfield, Walled Lake) with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with coursework in Journalism, English, Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Education or closely related areas; OR Have Merit System status in any classification and be currently employed in the Health & Human Services Department; AND a. Have successfully completed at least the equivalent of one (1) year of college at an accredited college or university with coursework in Journalism, English, Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Education, or closely related areas; AND b. Have two (2) years of full‐time work experience in the Oakland County Health & Human Services Department conducting or assisting in various para‐professional health assignments and activities requiring considerable knowledge and a thorough understanding of the various elements involved.
