Job Summary
Execute operational activities and processes including discharge, load, transport, clean, label, and operate all equipment to contribute to safe, effective, and efficient production. Periodically inspect production equipment for defects, conduct minor repairs, and log data on production orders and activities in appropriate systems. Signal deviations in processes and flag opportunities for improvement with the supervisor to optimize operational workflows. Work in full compliance with food safety, environmental, and quality regulations while maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the use of all materials, equipment and tools
- Proficiency acquired through training on the job and specialized training
- Experience and skills gained through time and effort
- Ability to perform semi-routine work based on training
- Ability to perform semi-routine work based on experience
- Availability of assistance by Multi-Skilled Operators, Supervisor / Team Leader or others
- Ability to operate equipment and machinery
- Periodic inspection of production equipment
- Ability to execute small maintenance tasks on production equipment
- Ability to signal defects and deficiencies
- Ability to conduct minor repair work
- Ability to log data and information on production orders and activities
- Ability to use appropriate logbooks / systems
- Knowledge of state and progress of production orders
- Ability to signal deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems
- Ability to flag opportunities for improvement with supervisor
- Ability to optimize and improve operational (work) processes, tools and systems
- Compliance with all relevant (personal as well as food) safety, environmental and quality regulations and procedures
- Compliance with operational standards
- Awareness on SHEQ
- Ability to signal potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations
- Ability to take appropriate action in case of imminent unsafe situations
- Ability to ensure the work area is left clean and in a safe working condition
- Ability to maintain the appearance of the production line(s), working area(s) and production site
