Job Summary
Software Engineering intern to join the Autonomy team and contribute to advancing ANYmal's autonomous capabilities. Develop and optimize robust code for navigation and path-planning modules; design and implement logical behavior architectures (state machines or behavior trees) that dictate how the robot accomplishes its missions; ensure seamless integration, testing, and deployment of the autonomy software stack onto the physical robots. The role offers mentorship from industry experts, hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices, and the opportunity to contribute to innovative robotics projects in an on-site, six-month internship in Zurich. Preferred start date is August; internship is full-time with potential for future full-time opportunities. Requirements include university enrollment and, for non-EU applicants, a mandatory internship with a university-supplied verification and, where applicable, a work permit or residence permit.
