Job Summary
Research and design localization algorithms and software, developing production-quality C++ code including design, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation. Support requirements generation and architecture design for the localization system, while collaborating to execute functional safety software design and validation processes. Mentor team members and solve real-world problems by selecting appropriate approaches, developing quick prototypes, and bringing solutions to production using perception-based, inertial, and GNSS inputs. Work full-time onsite in Mossville, IL or Irving, TX, with up to 10% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellency in C++
- Fluency in Python
- Strong engineering practices
- Debugging/profiling skills
- Apply structured programming techniques to structured environments
- Strong foundation in mathematics and fundamentals (3D geometry, linear algebra, statistical error modeling including Gauss Markov Processes)
- Knowledge of robotics and frameworks such as Robot Operating System (ROS)
- Experience with localization including Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) type approaches
- Utilization of graph-optimization libraries
- Overall state estimation
- Experience implementing filtering solutions including Error State, Kalman and Extended Kalman
- Knowledge of Inertial Measurement technology and Inertial Based Navigation and/or Guidance Systems
- This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL or Irving, TX office
- This position requires working onsite five days a week
