Job Summary
Monitor autonomous vehicle performance during passenger service and testing, taking manual control if needed for safety. Drive safely following all traffic laws while assisting and interacting with passengers. Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and keep vehicles clean inside and out. Report vehicle issues and unusual events immediately. Complete a 4–5 hour online course within one week followed by a week of paid onsite training. Must be available for morning, mid, afternoon, and Saturday shifts. Maintain a strict no-phone policy while working.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- 3+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving autonomous vehicles
- Strong attention to detail
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Able to assist passengers in wheelchairs (lift up to 30–50 lbs.)
- Must follow a strict no-phone policy while working
- 4–5 hour online course (complete within one week)
- One full week of paid onsite training: Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–12:00 PM or 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
- Must be available to work Saturdays
Desired Qualifications
- Basic technical or mechanical experience is a plus
- Professional driving experience (Uber, Lyft, delivery, taxi, shuttle, etc.)
- Customer service experience
- Interest in new technology
- Calm under pressure and safety-focused
- Organized and comfortable using computers or technology
