Automotive Yard Worker | Part-Time

Performs outdoor yard work removing parts from salvage vehicles and preparing them for placement in the yard; drain fluids and remove components (e.g., converters) safely; dismantle and move parts such as quarter panels, doors, hoods, axles, and suspension pieces; set vehicles in the yard and record information accurately; may operate a forklift or loader to move vehicles; clean debris and pull batteries to test and bring charged batteries to the retail area; work with Loader Operator to stage vehicles; walk the yard and remove debris; dismantle tires; maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with EPA and OSHA regulations; wear required PPE; participate in continual quality improvement efforts; assume other duties as assigned; requires flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends.
