Job Summary
Automotive Wheel Remanufacturing Technician III on-site at our Dent Wizard facility in Newburgh, NY (6PM shift). Perform wheel cosmetic restoration including painting surfaces and powder coating, color matching, and wheel prep using spray-painting equipment and power tools. Responsibilities include inspecting wheels for color and finish accuracy, mixing colors to specification, applying finishes (powder coat, repaint/re-finish), and conducting thorough quality control checks to ensure factory-spec results. Must have strong teamwork and communication, manual dexterity for tool use, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Pre-employment drug screening and background check required. Competitive compensation ($23.00-$30.00/hour) and benefits package. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment
- Proficiency in automotive parts preparation, reconditioning, buffing and sanding
- Knowledge of wheel repair and restoration techniques
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers
- Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks; proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and maintain work ethic
- Physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds and work in well-ventilated repair shop environments
