Job Summary
The Automotive Technician Training Manager (ATTM) is responsible for the development and training of Automotive Technicians, focusing on technical excellence and customer service. Key responsibilities include conducting training programs, assessing technician training needs, developing training materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining training records. The role requires at least 10 years of automotive repair experience, ASE certifications, effective communication skills, and the ability to motivate technicians. Additional qualifications include a valid U.S. driver's license, PA Inspection and Emissions licenses, and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of Automotive Repair experience
- High school diploma
- ASE certifications
- Valid U.S. drivers’ license
- Valid PA Inspection and Emissions licenses
- Mobile Refrigeration Certification (609c)
- Ability to travel to various store locations
- Own tools and ability to demonstrate their use during training
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to motivate, mentor and inspire technicians
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Automotive Repair
- Experience creating and implementing technical training programs
Additional Requirements
- Must have had a drivers’ license for at least 3 years
- Must stay current on and comply with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regulations regarding inspections and emissions testing
