Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on Multi-point Inspection and Repair Orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical individuals, including customers and store managers, while recommending necessary services to maintain vehicle running conditions. Document all recommendations in customer files and follow safety procedures by reporting concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals as required. Work Monday through Saturday in an environment with moderate to loud noises, dust, and exposure to lubricants and petroleum products. Stand up to eight hours daily, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid driver's license
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work Monday - Saturday
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
