Job Summary
Diagnose and repair customer vehicles according to MAP guidelines and manufacturer standards while performing multi-point inspections with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and customers, then document all recommendations in customer files. Follow safety procedures, report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager, and maintain ASE certifications. Work Monday through Saturday in a shop environment with moderate to loud noises and exposure to dust, exhaust fumes, and lubricants. Requires standing for eight hours, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid driver's license
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Ability to stand up to eight hours per day
- Ability to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly
- Full range of motion with arms and hands
- Ability to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
