Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals including store managers, service consultants, and customers. Recommend services to keep customer vehicles running while properly documenting all recommendations in the customer file. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals, adhering to dealership, manufacturer, and company standards. Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the shop foreman or store manager. Work Monday through Saturday, standing for eight hours daily and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must have full range of motion with arms and hands
- Must be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to hear and speak
- Must have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
