Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants, and customers. Recommend services to keep vehicles in running condition and properly document all recommendations in customer files. Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the shop foreman or store manager. Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications. Work Monday through Saturday in a shop environment with moderate to loud noises and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must have full range of motion with arms and hands
- Must be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
- Must be able to hear and speak
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
