Job Summary
Diagnose and repair customer vehicles according to MAP guidelines, manufacturer standards, and dealership protocols. Perform work outlined on multi-point inspections and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and customers, recommending services to maintain vehicle running conditions while documenting all recommendations. Follow safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals as required. Work Monday through Saturday in a shop environment involving moderate to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures. Requires standing for eight hours, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
