Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and customers, recommend necessary services to maintain vehicle condition, and properly document all recommendations in customer files. Adhere strictly to MAP guidelines, dealership, manufacturer, and company standards while following all safety procedures and reporting concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals as required. Work Monday through Saturday, standing for eight hours daily, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must have full range of motion with arms and hands
- Must be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to hear and speak
- Must have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
