Automotive Technician (Specialty Tech)

Job Summary
Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and repairs, diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, electrical, steering and suspension, brake, and air conditioning systems. Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment; perform mechanical and electrical component replacement; interpret repair orders and determine necessary repair actions. Follow SMPs and OEM guidelines; inspect and test new vehicles and document findings; communicate repair recommendations to customers and management in clear terms. Assist in leading small groups of technicians when required; participate in ongoing technical training; perform repairs in manufacturing/assembly environments when needed; complete additional duties as assigned by management. Must be able to work assigned schedules including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years automotive repair experience and/or formal training
- Valid U.S. Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Customer-service focused with a flexible attitude
