Job Summary
As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll diagnose and repair vehicles using state-of-the-art computer systems, performing services such as tire repair, heating and air conditioning, brakes, steering and suspension, oil changes, and check engine light diagnostics. You will conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections, work with shop equipment (lifts, tire-changing equipment, alignment machines, scan tools), and rely on your Missouri safety-inspector certification. The role requires the ability to work independently and in a team, own your tools/equipment, and maintain high productivity while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Eligible candidates service both foreign and domestic vehicles and hold a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- MUST be certified by the State of Missouri as a Safety inspector
- High School Diploma or equivalent - technical degree a definite plus
- State-specific auto repair certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
- Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools
- Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, & engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
