Job Summary
Diagnose and repair customer vehicles while adhering to MAP guidelines, dealership, and manufacturer standards. Perform brake jobs, suspension components, alignments, front-end parts, preventive maintenance, tire repair/replacement, and oil changes. Work five days per week including Saturday in a shop environment with moderate to loud noises and potential exposure to dust, exhaust fumes, and hazardous materials. Lift up to 70 pounds frequently and stand for eight hours daily. Earn $27–$40 per hour in total compensation including a flag/flat-rate system.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess valid driver's license
- Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturday's
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Communicate with customers and shop personnel
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
