The B Level Service Technician is responsible for performing general repairs and diagnosis on guest vehicles, including light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC, and steering & suspension, with some supervision. Responsibilities include completing multi-point inspections, documenting all work on the assigned repair order, communicating with the service advisor when additional repairs are needed, maintaining technician proficiency per Asbury standards, conducting road tests to verify work, performing all levels of diagnosis and repair, and completing required training and warranty repairs. The role emphasizes accuracy in warranty claims, maintaining CSI targets, and ensuring guest vehicles are returned clean. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know) and company policy is required. ASE and manufacturer certifications are highly preferred and ongoing manufacturer-sponsored training opportunities are provided.
