Job Summary
Diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles using diagnostic equipment, charts, and manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements. Test part functionality, replace sensors and wheel bearings, and ensure the shop remains clean and organized. Provide clear explanations of repairs and maintain a professional appearance while interpreting data for accurate records. Requires ASE certification, valid driver's license, and experience with diesel systems or air-conditioning. Full benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401K.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated experience as an auto mechanic on cars and light trucks
- ASE certificate
- Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training
- ASE certifications
- valid driver license
- associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service
- read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
- maintain accurate records
- lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a lube technician, or prepared to do on-the-job training
- Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment
- Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job training
- Good hand-eye coordination
