Job Summary
Automotive Technician responsible for diagnostics, repairs and maintenance across brakes, steering, suspension, tires, HVAC, cooling, electrical systems; perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems, tire and brake work, heating/air conditioning service, radiator/engine cooling, belts and hoses, batteries/charging, oil changes, check engine light, exhaust services, and visual safety inspections; must work independently and also collaborate with peers; requires ASE certifications and/or automotive repair experience, with proficiency in shop equipment (lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, scan tools) and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent - technical degree a definite plus
- State-specific auto repair certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
- Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools
- Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
- Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, & engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
