Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections, perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, and suspension, and utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Execute routine services such as oil changes and fluid flushes while ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Perform quality control checks, test-drive vehicles, and maintain accurate inspection records. Communicate repair recommendations and estimates to customers, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with management to coordinate workflow and execute business plans.
Required Qualifications
- The minimum age requirement of eighteen years
- An active and unrestricted driver's license
- Prior industry knowledge and/or experience
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States while employed by Leeds West Groups
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Strong sense of integrity

- Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy, and customer service skills
- Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures

- Proficient with computer and software systems
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment, including scan tools, multimeters, and computerized diagnostic software, and Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
- Strong and clear understanding and knowledge of the proper use of shop equipment, tools, and fluids
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing automotive technologies, methods, and best practices
- Proficient in inventory and expense management
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced sales environment
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to manage priorities, multitask, and complete objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet consistent attendance expectations
- Physical strength, agility, dexterity, and endurance
- Able to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, driving, climbing, and other repetitive motions
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more
- Physical endurance to work long hours in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines
- Precise hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Adequate vision, hearing and speaking abilities
- Zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, weapons, violence, harassment, or discrimination
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of automotive technical training program
- A minimum of one year of related experience
- ASE or other relevant certifications
