Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, maintenance, or safety concerns. Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently, including engine, brake, and suspension work, while utilizing diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems. Perform routine services like oil changes and fluid flushes, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Raise safety concerns or unscheduled service issues immediately to management, prepare accurate inspection records, and communicate repair recommendations to customers. Collaborate with the team to coordinate workflow, mentor junior technicians, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States while employed by Leeds West Groups
- An active and unrestricted driver's license
- Prior industry knowledge and/or experience
- Must meet consistent attendance expectations
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, weapons, violence, harassment, or discrimination
- Must comply with OSHA safe workplace standards
- Must wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must adhere to uniform standards
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more
- Must have physical strength, agility, dexterity, and endurance
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, drive, climb, and perform repetitive motions
- Must have adequate vision, hearing, and speaking abilities
- Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing automotive technologies, methods, and best practices
