Job Summary
Automotive Technician role performing repair work and maintenance on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections, completing engine/brake/suspension repairs, utilizing diagnostic equipment and computerized systems, performing routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, etc.), ensuring work meets manufacturer specs and safety standards, performing test drives, maintaining inspection records, communicating with customers about recommendations and estimates, delivering legendary customer service, mentoring junior technicians, and upholding OSHA safety rules. Requires strong integrity, teamwork, communication, and an eagerness to stay current with automotive technology; prior automotive technical training and experience are preferred. Environment is fast-paced automotive retail/repair with travel up to 25% and weekend hours; must be capable of lifting heavy parts and working long hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of automotive technical training program preferred
- Active and unrestricted drivers license is required
- Minimum age 18 years
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- ASE or other relevant certifications preferred
- One year of related experience preferred
