Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections, perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine, brake, and suspension services, and utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes and fluid flushes, perform quality control checks and test drives, and maintain accurate inspection records. Communicate repair recommendations and estimates to customers while collaborating with management to coordinate workflow and mentor junior technicians. Adhere to workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. This full-time, onsite position requires at least 32 hours per week with frequent weekend work and up to 25% travel between local stores.
Required Qualifications
- The minimum age requirement of eighteen years
- An active and unrestricted driver's license
- Prior industry knowledge and/or experience
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States while employed by Leeds West Groups
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Strong sense of integrity

- Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures

- Proficient with computer and software systems
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment, including scan tools, multimeters, and computerized diagnostic software, and Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
- Strong and clear understanding and knowledge of the proper use of shop equipment, tools, and fluids
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing automotive technologies, methods, and best practices
- Proficient in inventory and expense management
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced sales environment
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to manage priorities, multitask, and complete objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet consistent attendance expectations
- Physical strength, agility, dexterity, and endurance
- Able to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more
- Precise hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Adequate vision, hearing and speaking abilities
- Ability to comply with OSHA safe workplace standards
- Zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, weapons, violence, harassment, or discrimination
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of automotive technical training program
- A minimum of one year of related experience
- ASE or other relevant certifications
