Job Summary
Diagnose, recommend, and perform automotive repairs including brake, front end, and alignment maintenance while ensuring quality control of all shop functions. Properly service customer vehicles, extend Extra Care Services, and maintain orderly customer service flow to meet established service, sales, and productivity goals. Train and coach other employees, attend weekly store meetings to review safety and policy updates, and ensure accurate invoicing information is provided to counter personnel. Utilize the company outside purchase program to maximize profitability while adhering to all company programs, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of two years of experience as a lube/tire/service technician
- Current Motor Vehicle Inspection License (for Missouri based stores)
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment screenings
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in an automotive shop environment
- ASE certifications
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work at a fast pace
