Job Summary
Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests using knowledge of domestic and foreign makes. Perform full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections while troubleshooting concerns quickly as part of a team. Meet hourly goals and deliver distinguished results by following high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization. Communicate effectively with the service department and other technicians to solve problems. Work in tight spaces, lift over 100 pounds occasionally, and navigate computer systems efficiently. Drive manual transmissions and maintain a professional appearance. Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
- 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- MI state certifications
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance
- Strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
