Job Summary
Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests across domestic and foreign makes while completing accurate courtesy inspections. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot concerns, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results by promoting high standards of safety and organization. Build experience continuously through hands-on work on lifted vehicles, tight spaces, and manual transmissions, utilizing factory scan tools and efficient computer navigation. Maintain a professional appearance and strong communication skills to effectively convey guest concerns to the service department.
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
- 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- MI state certifications
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Meet or exceed hourly goals
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance
- Strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
